Jim Crouch was born in June of 1965 in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Arlington High School in 1983. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri (Classical Studies). While in Columbia, MO, he worked for eight years with the Rice Road Church of Christ. It was during this period that he married Janet Wissinger (January 1987) and received from the Lord two precious children: Lindsay (October 1989) and Stuart (April 1991).
Jim’s academic accomplishments earned him a fellowship to Vanderbilt University (1994–1996), where he studied Greek and Latin language and taught for two years. While in Nashville, Jim also worked part-time with the Brookside Church of Christ. In January 1995, Jim and Janet were blessed with a third precious child, Monica.
In May 1996, Jim accepted a lead ministry position at a Church of Christ in Broomfield, Colorado (suburb of Denver) and also taught high school part-time. He enjoyed a successful work there for four years before accepting the ministerial position with the Green Oaks Church of Christ in Arlington, Texas in June 2000. After six years, Jim accepted the invitation to begin working with Irving Church (October 2006) where he currently serves.

Terry Baze is the Pastoral Care Minister at Irving Church. His focus is spiritual formation and discipleship, working with our Celebrate Recovery program, and offering pastoral counseling. Before moving to the DFW area in the fall of 2013, Terry was born in Midland, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity College of the Bible and Seminary. and a Master's Degree in Pastoral Counseling.
Terry married Becky King of Norman, Oklahoma in September 1978 and they have three children. Their oldest son, Drew, is a Louisiana Tech graduate and lives in Irving, Texas with his wife Kyndall. Their daughter, Katrina, is married to Cody Barkley of Downsville, Louisiana and lives in Farmerville. Their youngest son, Jonathan, attends Louisiana Tech University. Terry and Becky have three grandchildren.
Terry has preached full time since July 1977 and has helped to plant new churches in Amarillo, TX, Buffalo MO, Niangua, MO, Tyler, TX, Athens, TX, Farmerville, LA, and Mansfield, TX. He has also done mission work in Mexico and Russia. Before moving to Irving, Terry worked with the church in Farmerville, LA for ten years (1999–2010) and Mansfield, TX (2010–2013).
Terry is a passionate disciple of Jesus Christ and makes it his goal to instill the same passionate love in others.
